The Half Marathon Training Program is a 12-week program specifically designed to help prepare runners for their first endurance event and/or to help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal. Get ready to be trained, educated, and moved to successfully and comfortably cross the finish line at a 13.1 mile event. Training will start at 3 miles and build up over the course of the program. PROGRAM AVAILABILITY | GOAL EVENT Offered twice a year, the half marathon training program gears you up for a goal event, which is optional. You may choose to do a different race in or around the same time frame, and the coaches will work with you to alter your training schedule. Spring Program Training Months: February, March and April - registration is only available at the store Goal Event: Long Branch Half Marathon, Long Branch NJ on May 6, 2012 - race registration is not included in program registration First Training: February 5, 2012

WORKOUT TIMES | LOCATIONS There will be two training sessions per week and 4-6 seminars periodically throughout the program. Tuesdays at 6:30 pm, meeting at Verona Park - short runs and interval training Sundays at 8:00 am, meeting at Fleet Feet Montclair - long runs Seminars may be after/before a practice or in the evening depending on the topic

TRAINING GROUPS There will be 3 to 4 training groups based on the number of participants. Everybody will be divided into groups based on the number of minutes they complete a 3 mile run in comfortably. We will also help you find the group the best suits your pace on the first day of practice. SUGGESTED ACTIVITY LEVEL PRIOR TO START OF TRAINING All participants should be consistently running or run/walking 3 miles at least 2-3 days per week. REGISTRATION Registration will close approximately one week prior to the first training or when maximum capacity of 65 participants has been reached. You can register in-person or over the phone. KICK-OFF FOR REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS The Training Program will kick-off with an informational meeting on (NEW DATE) Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 8:00 pm.
